About

Short Bio

I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico but have lived full time in Maine for 44 years. I picked up a paint brush for the first time in February 2016. Before that I was trained in Interior Design, and I am an avid photographer. My inspiration comes from my surrounding as I divide my time between Midcoast Maine, Las Cruces, New Mexico and Palm City, Florida. As an avid collector of Spanish Colonial, Mexican antiques and folk art for over 35 years, I find this to be a recurrent them in my paintings. Within my watercolor paintings you will find gardens and flowers, animals, architecture, portraits of people, animals, and folk art. What you find in common are Bold, Bright Colors!

Statement

As a decorator I enjoy painting for specific spaces. Through websites I put my designs on lampshades, coasters, tissue boxes, shower curtains, dish towels and playing cards to name a few.  I have written and illustrated three children’s books and a travel book about Vieques, Puerto Rico where we wintered for 30 years.
